John Thornber of Andrews Gwynne Wealth Management will deliver this lunchtime lecture where he will discuss his varied career in the finance industry from starting out as a stockbroker in the City to managing complex client portfolios across a range of global assets and his research/strategy function in a variety of different environments, including the City and work on individual shares and bonds, to hedge funds, derivative products etc.
John will highlight the key personal attributes and experience needed to carve out a career in today’s finance industry and give top tips and expert advice to position yourself for success in this ever-changing environment and our uncertain global economy.
This lecture will appeal to anyone with an interest in Business, Economics and Finance and John will lead a more in depth discussion prior to his talk for sixth form pupils.
