Join in the Chinese New Year of the Dog celebrations for all the family during half term on Tuesday 13 February at Leeds City Museum!
A day for dog lovers and those who love finding out about animals at the museum! This is a bumper day to celebrate Chinese New Year with special performances and arts and craft activities for all the family. You can meet the puppies who are training to be guide dogs in the morning and watch a Chinese Lion Dance at 2pm.
Have you ever tried carving a banana into a dog? Workshops are running at 10:30, 11:30 and 1:30 but places are limited so please book your place on arrival. There’s lots of other things going on too. You can follow a special Chinese New Year treasure hunt, have your face painted and learn a little of the Chinese language. Free admission. The event runs from 10:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 15:00. This event is sponsored by and run in partnership with The Grammar School at Leeds.
