Dr Sam Cohen (OL 2005) will talk about his groundbreaking research work into Alzheimer’s disease and stress that Alzheimer’s is not normal ageing – it is a disease we can understand and therefore it is possible to prevent or treat it.
Although no real progress has been made in the fight against the disease over the last 100 years, the recent research breakthrough by Dr Cohen and his colleagues in Cambridge shows that there is hope in the future of beating Alzheimer’s.
Refreshments will be served in the theatre foyer from 18:30 and the talk will commence at 19:00.
