Come and see us
You may feel you know a lot about GSAL already from our website and our School Prospectus, but before you make up your mind please do come and visit us. Our Open Days and Open Mornings are a fantastic way to meet and chat to teachers and pupils, see our vast range of facilities and really get a feel for the School.
We have plenty of fun and interesting things to show you. Here are a selection of activities that will typically be taking place:
- Welcome and Introduction
- Tour of the School
- Science Experiments
- Drama Performances
- Sports Demonstrations
- Chat to our Pupils

Questions you may want to ask
We will happily answer any questions you may wish to ask about the School. Our pupils often help out on Open Days so please do take the opportunity to ask them what they think about School. Please do look at the work on display around the School and ask to see the equipment and facilities. Here are some of the questions you may wish to ask to gauge whether GSAL is right for your child:
What are the class sizes?
How is the curriculum structured?
Is the curriculum broad and well balanced?
How much homework is there in each age group?
What After School activities are available?
How does GSAL cater for the needs of individual children?
What is different about GSAL compared to other schools?
Rose Court
For pupils aged 3 – 7
Here at Rose Court, we have lots of fun and interesting things to show you. You can visit our classrooms, see a lesson taking place, and watch our smallest members of GSAL at play. Please do take the opportunity to talk to our class and support teachers and ask any questions you may have. We are proud of Rose Court and are looking forward to sharing it with you.
Junior School
For pupils aged 7 – 11
Experience a typical school day! You’ll be shown around by one of our pupils and have the opportunity to sit in on a few lessons. Teaching staff will be on hand to answer your questions over a cup of coffee before or after your tour.
You are also invited to our ’showcase’ Open Morning which is held at the weekend for the convenience of busy parents. Although this is not a normal school day, you’ll still get a good sense of the academic and extra-curricular activities on offer from the sheer variety of displays our staff and pupils arrange for you.
Senior School
For pupils aged 11 – 16
Senior School Open Events are a valuable way of really getting to know the School well. Our pupils will proudly show you their work and are happy to chat about an insiders view of the school.
