How to Apply

It's easy to apply for a place at our school.

First things first - have you seen our prospectus? Contact our Registrar, Mrs Angela Boult (tel 0113 228 5121 / e-mail admissions@gsal.org.uk) for a copy. Please let Angela know which section of school you are interested in ie Rose Court, Junior School, Senior School or Sixth Form. Prospectuses are also available at all our open days and you can also view the documentation online (scroll down to the bottom of this page).

Once you've had a look through our prospectus, simply complete the application form, which you will find at the back of the prospectus pack, and post it to Angela at our Alwoodley Gates address, along with your application fee. The application fee is currently £25 (cheques made payable to ' The Grammar School at Leeds' please).

Although our main selection process takes place at the end of January, for admission the following September, you can apply at any time of year. We routinely receive applications from parents who have just moved into the area as well as those who wish to move school for other reasons. Subject to our usual selection criteria, and available places, we are happy to welcome new pupils mid-year.
