We strongly recommend that prospective students and their parents visit the School to look around and ask questions – in particular, please try to attend the Sixth Form Information Evening. STAGE 2

Parent(s) / legal guardian(s) complete the application form. Don’t forget to indicate if you are interested in one of the bursaries available to new pupils (Year 7 entry only). Please return the completed form to Mrs Boult with a cheque for £25 in respect of the application fee.

Parent(s) / legal guardian(s) complete the application form, and prospective students complete the curriculum choices form. Don’t forget to indicate if you are interested in one of the limited number of bursaries available to new sixth form students. Please return both forms to Mrs Boult with a cheque for £25 in respect of the application fee.

NB You can submit your application at any time during the year. However, we prefer you to do this before the end of February, as this timescale means we are more likely to be able to timetable your subject choices. Although your subject choices cannot be guaranteed, we are confident we will be able to accommodate your wishes in the vast majority of cases.

STAGE 3

In November we send letters to everyone who has applied. We ask you to confirm your registration for the entrance assessments which are held in January. We ask parents of pupils applying for Year 7 to indicate on the registration form if they require a bursary award application form (click here for further information).

We invite you to attend an interview. This usually takes place after school to avoid any disruption to your school day. Our basic admission requirement is:

  • successful completion of the interview process
  • a satisfactory school reference
  • a minimum of 5 grade Bs at GCSE (for some students the requirement is higher, depending on the subjects you wish to study).
