Where each child is valued, included and secure

When your son or daughter joins our Junior School – whether at age 7 in Year 3, or in Years 4 to 6 – our first priority is to give them everything they need to make friends and feel secure, so they can continue to learn with complete confidence.

Before joining, there are many opportunities to see what it’s like in Junior School and help us get to know each other. Children who join mid-year are given a classroom ‘buddy’ who looks out for them while they settle in.

Opportunity

As part of the GSAL family of schools, our pupils have tremendous opportunities. They learn in bright, contemporary classrooms in spacious, landscaped grounds and enjoy first-rate educational materials and facilities. Our enthusiastic teachers inspire and care for pupils in small classes, making sure each child gets individual attention.

Finding their voice

Once they feel at home, pupils quickly find their voice. Some represent their classmates on the School Council, which meets weekly with teachers to discuss pupils’ ideas and proposals. As a result, we now have more shelters in the playgrounds, and more popular sandwich fillings at lunchtime – though we draw the line at chocolate spread!
