Teacher of Classics
The Post
This post is a permanent full-time appointment from September 2010 further to the promotion of the current post-holder to a Head of Department post. We are seeking a graduate classicist, with some teaching experience, who is willing to play their part in teaching the introductory Classical Civilisation course in Year 7 and able to teach Latin to A2 level and Greek to GCSE level.
The candidate should be willing to play their role in the department and in school to the full, be an individual who is committed to the teaching of classics and who is willing to make a significant contribution to the Classics department. The successful candidate should be a very competent classroom practitioner, a good communicator, able to work well co-operatively and capable of sustained involvement in a fast paced school.
Salary
The salary is constructed from a combination of National Spine points and GSAL supplements to reflect the commitment that is expected from all staff. This additional commitment includes participation in the wide range of extracurricular activities offered.

Temporary Teacher of Biology
The Post
An enthusiastic and energetic teacher is required to join the Biology department from September 2010. The post arises as a consequence of the need to cover maternity leave and will be a full-time temporary appointment. This post is likely to be for a maximum of two terms to cover the maternity leave of a colleague.
We are seeking a good honours graduate with a teaching qualification, who is willing to make a useful contribution to this exciting and busy department. The successful applicant will be adaptable, an excellent classroom practitioner with plenty of initiative and capable of teaching at all levels, from participation in the Year 7 course through to A2 level.
Salary
