Early learning – the years that matter most
Good early years education is enormously important, because its effect lasts a lifetime. But when they first enter school, very young children need more than anything else to feel happy, safe and among friends. Then they will learn easily and rapidly – often without realising they are learning!
A caring environment
Rose Court Nursery provides a caring, cheerful and well-resourced environment for three-year old boys and girls. There they acquire, through a balance of teacher directed and child initiated play, simple but essential learning and social skills.
All Nursery staff are qualified, experienced and utterly dedicated to the care and sensitive development of your child. Indoor and outdoor facilities are excellent, as are our safeguarding measures.
Please come along to see us and you’ll quickly find out why children love Rose Court Nursery so much. Staff, and doubtless the children too, will be happy to show you round and answer your questions.
We offer full time attendance or parents may choose for their child to attend every morning or alternatively three full days being Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Fun, Friendships and Play
At age four, children can progress to the Rose Court Pre-Prep Reception classes. While the emphasis is still on fun, friendship and play, children’s gentle introduction to the world of learning continues. They are helped to develop better basic communication, reading and number skills; and encouraged to work productively and happily, both as individuals and in groups.
Teaching is Tailored
At age five, most Rose Court children have the confidence and ability to start sailing through Key Stage 1. We teach what is in effect an enriched version of the National Curriculum, with value added by the expertise and experience of our teaching staff and their assistants.
Every child develops differently, and so teaching is tailored to the individual aptitudes and enthusiasms of your child. We recognise that young children perform best when their interest is fully engaged, and when they are allowed to work and play at their own pace.
We believe firmly that language, literacy and numeracy skills are the bedrock of successful learning. In particular, children are taught to speak clearly and listen well. This aids learning, and encourages something else we value highly at Rose Court – good, considerate behaviour. We reward children for being kind, polite, honest and helpful.
Ours is a formula that works. Most children progress rapidly and perform at levels significantly above national norms. At age seven they leave Rose Court as confident, happy individuals, with a clear sense of right and wrong, an eagerness to learn and achieve more.
