Who is it for

Anyone with a responsibility for staff and pupil health and wellbeing in school

Brief synopsis of workshop:

The workshop will use the New Economic Foundation’s (nef) framework as a launch pad to develop bespoke action plans for participants to improve health and wellbeing. It will be an interactive session taking a strength-based/solution- focused approach to the topic.  There will be an exploration of what is meant by wellbeing and different methods of assessment.

What you will get out of it:

A clear idea, and brief action plan, of where next for you and your school in relation to wellbeing.

Profile of facilitator:

With a Master’s degree in Public Health and Health Promotion Alison has been working in the field of children and young people’s health and wellbeing for more than 20 years. She has worked alongside schools to promote their pupils’ health for much of this time; as well as holding strategic citywide roles within Leeds. She currently works as a Specialist Adviser on Social, Emotional and Mental Health for the Health and wellbeing Service.

Alison also works as a freelance trainer for national charities which promote health and wellbeing and is a qualified life coach. She is chair of the Leeds based charity Womens Health Matters.
