Brief synopsis of workshop :

What are the issues facing today’s young people living in a digital world?

How do we ensure that we prepare young people to be literate, safe and responsible digital citizens and therefore successful in the workplace?

This inspiring session explores issues relating to young people’s online behaviours and strategies schools can employ to ensure they prepare pupils well for a rapidly changing world. Creative ideas and good practice in the use of technology for learning will be shared alongside opportunities to consider issues for leaders and governors that are essential in an ever-shifting educational and technological landscape.

Profile of facilitator

Dughall is a highly experienced educator with a wealth of classroom and leadership experience. He taught in Primary Schools in the UK for 15 years. He is currently working as an Interim Headteacher in a large Infant and Nursery school as a secondment from a role as a Schools’ Improvement Advisor. In addition to the school improvement role, Dughall is also involved in supporting schools to make the best use of technologies for innovation and creativity.

Dughall believes passionately in the role of technology to facilitate transformative learning.
