Brief synopsis of workshop :

Technology in the classroom is the best learning tool. With classroom technology educators can get more students engaged, improve collaboration, and most importantly make learning fun though it can be daunting!

If you would like to learn more about some of the great benefits classroom technology has to offer this is the workshop for you.

This session aims to highlight some great ways to best utilise technology in the classroom to enrich learning and to provide you with some strategies which work and do not necessary require a lot of preparation and sophisticated technology skills.

What you will get out of it:

‘Learning by doing’ strategies on how to use effectively technology by teachers to improve learning and engagement.

Profile of facilitator:

Isabelle is currently the Curriculum Leader for MFL and EAL and an Aspiring Leader Practitioner in New Technologies and EAL at Grange technology College a secondary school in Bradford. Her main areas of responsibility are teaching and learning and she contributes to the school professional development. She is also acting as the project manager for the new to English hub for secondary schools in Bradford together with 5 other primary schools. She has also been  a coach and facilitator for KAA, a dynamic, creative leadership, training and development consultancy supporting school and college worldwide and recently worked in the Institut Fleurimont in Geneva in a one-year leadership programme “Leading4Impact” with twelve Senior and Middle Leaders. Isabelle has been a regular visiting practitioner for both the University of Leeds and Leeds Trinity University in the past four years.  She has been teaching for 19 years.
