Memory and recall – practical strategies for a linear world

Who is it for

Classroom teachers, school leaders in T&L

Brief synopsis of workshop:

New specifications at GCSE have led to real challenges for students who must now retain more information and key content than ever before. This is a mountain for all students to climb but has disproportionately impacted upon disadvantaged and SEND students nationally. This session aims to give teachers practical strategies for getting students to master their own memories, retain and apply learned content whilst also balancing the need to explicitly teach skills. All young people, regardless of their contexts, can achieve in the new world of linear examinations. All teachers can create an ethos of memory mastery in their own classrooms!

What you will get out of it:

Practical ideas and resources.
