Technology to stimulate writing – especially for boys

Who is it for

Mainly for Primary Practitioners but session easily adaptable to fit Secondary ages.
Anyone who is stuck trying to stimulate writing in their classroom.

Brief synopsis of workshop

Plug yourself in to the Ideas Factory matrix! Julian will be showcasing loads of ideas to stimulate writing (amongst other things) in the classroom. He’ll be mainly sharing free websites and apps with a sprinkling of AR and VR too. 

What you will get out of it

Participants will come away from the session with plenty of ideas, resources and teaching tips to use in their school. Attendees will receive a link to all resources in the workshop and handouts to guide them through.

Profile of facilitator:

Julian has taught for 20 years across all year groups and is Deputy Headteacher in an Inner City Primary School in Sheffield. He is a passionate advocate of using technology to stimulate learning and in 2010 he was awarded the Microsoft Innovative Educator award, for using QR Codes to stimulate storytelling. He has been a CAS Computer Master Teacher for 4 years and enjoys helping teachers find creative ways to deliver the Computing Curriculum
