1876

Establishment of the Leeds Girls High School Company Ltd - to establish and maintain a High Class Day School for the Girls of Leeds which shall be to them what the Grammar School is to their brothers. The school opened on 2nd September with 42 pupils aged 8 to 16.

1901

The school was purchased by the governors of the Grammar School for £12000 and became known as The Leeds Grammar School for Girls.

1906

Land had been purchased from the Morley House estate in Headingley and the current buildings opened in September. The name of the school reverted to Leeds Girls' High School (Grammar School Foundation).

2005

August - The school legally merges with Leeds Grammar School to form one charity and one company calle The Grammar School at Leeds.

2008

September - Physical merger with Leeds Grammar School is complete and The Grammar School at Leeds opens its doors to girls and boys.
