Leave a legacy

Leave a legacy

Gifts and legacies have played a crucial role in the development of The Grammar School at Leeds since the foundation of Leeds Girls’ High School and the Leeds Grammar School. Today, GSAL is one of the top independent schools in the country, and in large part owes its success to the support of alumni and friends. By including a gift to The Grammar School at Leeds in your will you could help us to nurture the next generation and encourage them to make their mark on the world.

The importance of making a will

We know that taking care of loved ones; family and friends, will always be the most important part of your future plans. Making a will is therefore very important in ensuring that your estate is distributed as you wish. If you do not have a will, your estate will be subject to the law of intestacy which may mean that your estate does not pass entirely to your chosen of beneficiaries.

Making a will also provides an opportunity to make a final and lasting gift to a cause you care about and may allow you to offer a level of financial support which would not have been possible during your lifetime. It is easy to make a gift to The Grammar School at Leeds in your will; you can do this when you draw up your will, or you can add a codicil to an existing one.
