We are delighted that the leading human rights campaigner Peter Tatchell will be speaking at The Grammar School at Leeds on Tuesday 25 February at 5-6pm. Peter will be talking about how he began his campaigning life which spans five decades beginning when he was 15 years old.
The talk will be of interest to students who are in years 9 and above and adults and who are interested in campaigning, lobbying, advocacy, politics, sociology or have an interest in the topics that Peter has campaigned about. LGBT+ rights has been a major focus of Peter’s 50 years of campaigning and his talk will explain how he took these issues from the political margins to become the mainstream consensus – and what still remains to be achieved. More information about Peter and his work can be found on the Peter Tatchell Foundation website.
