Inaugural US alumni receptions a tour highlight

Tuesday 26 February 2019

Our first international alumni receptions of the year were held recently in the US in Washington DC and New York to coincide with GSAL’s politics study tour led by head of politics Andrew Stodolny.

This was a fantastic opportunity for alumni and students alike. Alumni were happy to share their experiences of living and working overseas, discuss the current political climate, find areas of shared career interest and enjoy reminiscing about their old teachers and school days. Our students received some practical advice and gained an enlightening insight into how careers can develop along exciting and unexpected paths by taking opportunities to switch professions or locations.  It’s OK if you don’t follow the master plan you may have had at 18!

The receptions were held at the Ludlow Hotel in the Lower East Side of Manhattan and at the Washington Plaza Hotel.

We were delighted to welcome the following alumni and thank them for attending. We also thank all the other US based alumni who have been in touch but couldn’t make it this time. If you are now based in the US and would like to make contact with fellow alumni please get in touch with alumni@gsal.org.uk
