Pastoral care

Pastoral care

Happy children will always achieve their best. And at Rose Court we strive to make sure that is the case each and every day. The pastoral team is led by the head teacher, who works closely with year leaders and class teachers.

Class teachers know and care for every child in their group and they are the first point of contact for parents to answer questions and discuss any progress and well-being.

At Rose Court parents are welcomed into school at all times and daily contact is encouraged. Our outstanding staff team adopt a personal approach with parents who in turn have utmost confidence in our staff and feel very much part of the Rose Court family.

Medical support

The school has three fully-qualified nurses (shared across the whole school) who provide assistance throughout the day. There is a designated medical room in Rose Court and all of our staff are trained in basic first aid, with a number having additional qualifications.

GSAL and as such Rose Court, is a resolutely multi-faith school that welcomes those of all faiths and those with none. Whole school assemblies that promote tolerance and understanding of different beliefs are held regularly in Rose Court.

Healthy for life

We all appreciate that a healthy mind and a healthy body go hand in hand and this is something we strive for in every facet of school life. Food at Rose Court is prepared daily on site and includes a healthy choice of meals, with hot and cold options as well as fresh fruit and desserts.

In Early Years and Foundation Stage, the children have a range of opportunities to develop their gross motor skills both indoors and out. In Reception they begin formal PE lessons as well and in KS1, children do PE, games and dance.
