Thursday 25 August 2016 Sixteen students at The Grammar School at Leeds (GSAL) have swept the board with 10 A* passes at GCSE. In all, students notched up a stunning 654 passes at A* which amounts to 36 per cent of grades achieved at GSAL. The school has pulled off outstanding results in core subjects at A* and A with 77 per cent in mathematics, 67 per cent in English literature, 60 per cent in English language, 71 per cent in religious studies and 69 per cent in the double science award. Principal Sue Woodroofe said: “I could not be more proud of this year’s GCSE cohort.
